In The Léonie Sonning Music Prize Concert 22, Sylvain Cambreling will lead the Royal Danish Orchestra and french pianist Pierre-Laurent Aimard in a programme of Berlioz, Beethoven, Benjamin and Messiaen.

The Léonie Sonning Music Prize and the Royal Danish Orchestra go back a long way. Before the music prize was officially established in 1965, Léonie Sonning awarded a music prize to composer Igor Stravinsky in 1959 at a concert in the Tivoli Concert Hall where the Royal Danish Orchestra performed onstage.
