PR Artists is delighted to welcome the Japanese-American violinist Mayumi Kanagawa to its roster for worldwide general management.
Prizewinner at the 2019 Tchaikovsky Competition and 2018 Long-Thibaud Crespin competition as well as First Prize winner of the Princess Astrid, Jascha Heifetz, and Irvin Klein competitions, Mayumi is establishing herself as a versatile and refined soloist and chamber musician.
Notable orchestral collaborations include in Europe with the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra, Helsinki Symphony Orchestra, Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, Konzerthaus Orchester Berlin, Orchestra National de Belgique, Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Trondheim Symphony Orchestra, and in Japan with the Kyoto Symphony Orchestra, Nagoya Philharmonic, NHK Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo Symphony Orchestra and Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra with conductors including Thomas Dausgaard, Sylvain Cambreling, Alexander Shelley,Yoel Levi, Andrew Litton, Tadaaki Otaka, Sebastian Weigle and Eivind Aadland.
As a chamber musician Mayumi has appeared at renowned festivals including Aspen, Verbier, Mecklenburg Vorpommern and Heidelberger with artists such as Giuseppe Guarerra, Yu Kosuge, Ben Goldscheider, Anna Ostendorf and the Lazarus String Quartet bringing her to Germany, Austria, Italy, Spain, Luxembourg and Japan.
